I defended my dissertation, “Teaching dialect awareness in the college composition classroom: An Evaluation”, in December 2011. It was the culmination of four years of PhD studies, and although it isn’t perfect, I’m proud of it. It is about linguistic discrimination, and how to increase college students’ tolerance for different American dialects.
