Kami is a Google Chrome extension that can be easily added to your student’s desktop or laptop to edit or work off of PDFs, images, workbooks, etc. to draw, add text, images, or other creative elements for seamless virtual instruction.

4/28/21 Wednesday Website:Pirate Math Equation Quest

This week’s Wednesday Website for April 28th, 2021 was shared by Limaris Mendoza, who shared out about Pirate Math Equation Quest. Pirate Math Equation Quest is a website where teachers can access tools for math intervention for students. The website’s games can test students’ math skills using a fun and engaging pirate quest to test their knowledge.

3/31/21 Wednesday Website: Sworkit

This week’s Wednesday Website for March 31st, 2021 was shared by Sheila Gottschall, who shared out about Sworkit. Sworkit is an application that can be used to engage students and adults in physical education and activity.

A few other features:

  • Teachers can easily monitor student activity and make PE grading easy
  • Administrators can organize students into classes, sports teams, and even competitive school groups
  • Provide feedback for student physical activity journals
  • Verify students are meeting weekly or monthly physical activity requirements

This past week’s Wednesday Website for April 14th, 2021 was shared by Julia Lombardo, who shared out about PBS NOVA. NOVA is a great resource for all ages and includes many interactive and engaging activities for all students.

A few other features:

  • The site has resources about space including various episodes, articles, and videos
  • You can search resources by topics such as: planet earth, space & flight, physics & math, body & brain, tech & engineering, nature, and evolution
  • Search from different labs and activities to include in your classroom along with tons of other educational research.

3/17/21 Wednesday Website: How to find hidden apps

This week’s Wednesday Website for March 17th, 2021 was shared by Nichole Corsi, who shared out about how to find hidden apps on iPhones! Using the Google Doc to Find Hidden Apps on iPhones, teachers can be mindful of how students may hide certain apps to:

  • To discreetly use social media accounts they aren’t allowed to have
  • To hide text messages and online chats 
  • To conceal pictures or videos
  • To hide online games
  • To prevent parents from seeing how they are actually using a device
