This past week in our Corporate Social Responsibility course, we presented our projects. This was a great experience in public speaking for me as we had watched a video in the prior week giving us tips on how to be more engaging when presenting. I focused on trying to keep an open face and have good posture during my presentation. I also was able to do a deep dive into AI and learn a lot about the future problems that may arise. I also learned in this class overall how to think in a better way. I learned that I want to be a more educated person and that there are ways to do this like reading books and newspapers, listening to podcasts, and watching documentaries.
In class this week, we learned crucial skills about how to prepare for an interview and how to act in the interview as well. These are crucial skills and I was able to learn a lot from Professor Gupta. We also presented our final projects in class. There were some really interesting topics that I was not aware of before class. We learned about “Made In Italy” tags, how a company can acquire one, and what it signifies. We also learned a lot about sustainability and how Italy is pushing the bill to become a leader in recycling and helping the environment. All of these topics were interesting and closed a helpful class that helped me a lot to assimilate here in Italy.
In my final week at E4 Impact, I had the opportunity to work on a marketing data analysis project. I looked through the data from the 2020-2021 school year to find graduates who got lured in through marketing efforts done by E4. These efforts varied between advertising and hosting webinars for MBA students. This has been the most interesting work that I have done so far and I also presented my findings to my co-workers, another great experience that helped my public speaking skills. Overall, working at E4 has been a great experience. As my first time in an office environment, all my coworkers were accommodating. I developed great relationships with many of them and will be sad to leave them at the end of my time here.
This past weekend, a large group of us traveled to Split in Croatia. It was a very fun experience, and I took the shortest flight I have ever taken! A one-hour flight from Malpensa to Split was an interesting experience even though it was a the crack of dawn. Once we arrived in Split, we went to the beach and it was beautiful. We also went cliff jumping at the beach, it was my first time and the adrenaline rush was pretty crazy. The second day, we went on a boat ride and that was very pleasant. The boat took us to a couple of blue lagoons to swim in and the water was pristine. It was so clear and blue, and it was perfect to swim in! Traveling during the trip has been my favorite part of my time here, and it was really interesting to see all of these different cultures.
