The goal of the project is to create a mechanism out of chipboard and brass paper fasteners that can operate in the same way as the gif above. The right side moves in a fully circular motion while the left side moves in an arc motion, not fully in a circle. My first plan was to create the mechanism using card stock and brass paper fasteners, shown below:

The pictures on the right are the laser cut chipboard mock-ups of my mechanism. The far right image has fasteners that I determined were unnecessary after printing out the rectangular backing.

The pieces were cut out using the cut quality setting on the laser cutter on 0.1mm Chipboard.
