The Dr. Frank Douglas ’66 Endowed Scholarship Fund for the Advancement of Black Excellence

The Dr. Frank Douglas ’66 Endowed Scholarship Fund for the Advancement of Black Excellence has been established by members of the Class of 2011 to promote equity and increase educational opportunities for generations to come.

We present to you the Dr. Frank Douglas ’66 Endowed Scholarship Fund for the Advancement of Black Excellence – an endowment that will continue to increase opportunities for generations to come. Through the incredible generosity of an anonymous donor, the fund has already received $100,000 towards a $250,000 fundraising goal. What’s more, the donor has committed to match what we raise! $250,000 is the minimum threshold to establish a named scholarship and designate a preference for the award criteria, which here will be “a preference to support a Black or African American student with demonstrated financial need.” We need your help! We are calling on alumni, students, faculty, staff, and friends to help move this effort toward a successful completion. We understand that this is just a small step across the national landscape, but we hope this effort provides an inspiration and a powerful way to localize the fight for racial equality here at Lehigh.
