3D Printed Handle

Design

The STL file for this handle can be found here

This handle was meant to be press-fit over a laser-cut stack of 1-inch acrylic circles. Since the laser cutter removes material, there is an inherent tolerance built in, meaning I could print to exact sizes.

Here is the handle slice I created for the handle with measurements:

As you can see, there is a line that separates the handle into two pieces. This is so that I don’t need to create supports in the center space that will be empty for the acrylic circles

Printing

I exported the two parts as STL files and printed them out from cloud.3dprinteros.com. Here is a picture of the final result (the yellow knob is the handle attached to a mechanism)
