Potential Spaces of Lehigh-14f6sdp
Hi! My project focused on the places at Lehigh people go to seek out their potential space. Each picture is a space mentioned by the person interviewed, and it is meant to represent the feelings they get when they access their potential space. Do you have a potential space at Lehigh? How would you describe the feeling you get when you go there? What does it evoke?
Where is your own potential space at Lehigh? – Amie J.
The angles and lighting of each photo are super interesting and cool! How did you decide what angle/lighting to use for each different photo? Was it dependant on what the interviewee preferred or did you take some creative license with the actual photos?
-Kirstyn Blum
I think I relate to all of these in some way and would have a hard time choosing which is my favorite, how did your interviewees narrow down to just one?
-Josh Felgoise
I know that potential space is a theme that we talked about in class, but not many outside people understand the concept or know what it is. How did your interviewees define it or how did you explain it to them?
Can you think of any more examples of potential space on our campus that stand out to you? Why?- Madeline Condulis
Do you think that once you enter that specific location that you designate as your potential space, it is difficult to focus on tasks likes studying and homework instead of letting your mind wander and relax?
I loved these pictures and this theme! In what ways do you think potential space and the space between reality and the imaginable is more applicable to college students? In what ways is reaching that potential space less important to college students?
Potential space can mean something different to everyone; what does it mean to you?
I like the idea of potential space being a literal space. What do you think the threat is of not having a potential space that is a literal space? Is there one?
In class, we primarily discussed potential spaces as conceptual, not actual spaces. What do you think the differences are between a physical space and a mental one, and what does each have to offer?
