This book gives general advice on writing, points out common errors, and offers lively, practical guidance on writing and revising the academic essay; this book may be used for self-instruction or as a textbook in English Composition classes.
Q: What motivated you to write this book?
A: When I was teaching a class in First Year Writing to adult students and I was handing out many of my worksheets and writing exercises, one of the students suggested I put them together into a book and call it French On English. I decided that was excellent advice and put together the original and then the revised edition.
