The Global Classroom began in 2008 and has reached thousands of participants around the world. This 13-week, web-based, graduate-level course fosters cross-disciplinary collaboration, allowing students and faculty from around the world to participate in collective assignments and learning experiences. It is open to both universities and organizations and currently runs from September to December. Enrolled students receive course materials and gather online each week for a synchronous hour of live discussion with global experts on topics such as primary health and development, planetary boundaries, and global governance. Students can also participate asynchronously; guest lectures and discussions are recorded, and all course materials and resources are available in a 24/7 online repository.
