Mentoring means helping others grow and achieve their highest potential. It is about sharing the knowledge and the network, also about making mentees become able to solve problems by themselves.

I personally benefit a lot from mentorship by others -- they lighted the torch for me. So mentoring others, to me, is like passing the torch along. Through mentorship, I also get a chance to look at things under a different lens of culture/opinions, which is very unique and meaningful to me.
