Comments from nominator:
Adam Heidebrink-Bruno: Over the past four years, Seth has been a bit of everything to me: teacher, mentor, work supervisor, head of my comprehensive exam committee, and -- most recently -- my dissertation chair. That's a lot of the same student to put up with! Throughout it all, Seth has been more responsive, understanding, and inspiring than I could have ever imagined or expected. This recognition is long overdue and only a small token of my full appreciation for his hard work and support. Thanks Seth! Keep being awesome.
Yuxuan Wang: Professor Seth Moglen has been an exceptional mentor. He has provided both emotional and moral support and encouragement during my entire time as a graduate student. He is a wonderful teacher, deeply caring about our learning, and always going out of his way to give advice to students facing a variety of difficulties. He is both warm, caring, flexible, approachable, and committed, rigorous and serious about our learning.
Mentor comments:
Mentoring means assisting the next generation of students to gain the skills that will enable them to flourish, intellectually, professionally, and personally. Mentoring means passing on the forms of support and encouragement that each of us received from the teachers who made our own careers possible.
