Mentor comments:
A very enjoyable part of my job is to create opportunities for our students to have a voice at the United Nations, or to conduct meaningful research supporting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. To work with students who initially see the UN as some nebulous entity and then help them learn diplomatic protocols, leverage and the art of advocacy is rewarding. It's wonderful to see our students stand before a UN agency and make a presentation, or host of meeting of NGO Presidents. Seeing their confidence and professionalism shine through gives me hope that the next generation will further these important causes.
