Congrats to all – ChBE Symposium 2022

The 8th Annual Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering Graduate Student Symposium was a huge success, did our grad students (and undergrads) bring their A-game! 🙌  The Ben Franklin TechVentures was buzzing with excitement as students presented their research and mingled with peers and professionals from academia and industries. 🙌 🙌 🙌

With over 25+ posters and four graduate student talks (Monica Kullappan, Jinghui Gao, Hao Dong and Eli Ream), the symposium was a treasure trove of insights and discoveries. Not to mention, we had the pleasure of hosting an invited talk from Dr. Thomas English of Evonik and a feature faculty talk from Dr. Whitney McTigue. We were really excited to have more than 50+ attendance – in person – including ChBE graduate and undergraduate students, faculty members, and industry leaders from Polysciences Inc., Evonik, Air Products & Chemicals Inc., Rive Technologies, Process Systems Enterprise, FMC, and Exxon!

We were also thrilled to share the joy of our students who have received awards: John C. Chen Endowed Fellowship – Monicka Kullappan; Leonard A. Wenzel Prize – Yue Wu and Bohyeon Kim; Mohamed El-Aasser Travel Award – Meishan Wu; Kenneth A. Earhart Award – Adhika Setiawan. And our best poster winner – Aojie Li! Congratulations!

Lastly, special thanks to our Associate Symposium Chairs – Adhika Setiawan, Erin Sobchinsky, and Hao Dong for organizing ChBE Symposium in 2022!
