A Message from the Council for Equity and Community

The Council for Equity and Community (CEC) has been engaged in ongoing conversations with university officials regarding the proposed parking and transit policy.

The major concerns that the CEC has identified mirror those of the broader campus community; namely, issues of cost equity and work-life balance. The CEC feels that these concerns are being heard and taken seriously, and that all parties are receptive to exploring possible solutions. In addition, the CEC is confident that as the parking and transit policy is modified, finalized, and implemented, the policy will continue to be reviewed and altered as needed. We have been assured that there will be continued efforts to more effectively communicate, and that this is a process that will be evaluated and continuously improved based on data and feedback from Lehigh community members.

If you believe that your particular issue has not been addressed or acknowledged, the CEC encourages you to utilize the online feedback form and voice your concerns.

The CEC looks forward to continuing to work with the appropriate university officials on this important university matter that affects our community through both our shared experiences, as well as through our individual sets of circumstances. In addition, we remind everyone that your voice and input is critical, and to use the communication mechanisms to make sure the changes ahead only help further a thriving and equitable Lehigh.
