I look into the kaleidoscope corridor of Linderman
The metal racks & wooden crevices;

I smell the rhapsodic scent of antiquated leaves
The imperceivable heirlooms & priceless totems;

I hear the ephemeral distant echoes
The published authors & the dead poets;

the sensual Siren of Wisdom
That which has entranced & envigored
storytellers, Nobel winners & children alike
Whispering in my ear:
ecstatically eccentric epilogues-
opulently otherworldly opus-
vehemently veracious volumes-
passionately piercing poetry –
tantalizingly thrilling titles.

I feel
My body aching from journeying alongside knights of lore:
saving damsels, duelling thieves, shouting “Chivalry!”
My mind throbbing with the thoughts of history’s bards:
pondering existence, rebelling against conformity, dying for love!
My eyes squinting from having seen the allegory of reality: fantasy
