We study how infants and children reason and learn about the world around them. Our research focuses on how young humans understand complex topics like emotions and social relationships. We also examine how their understanding shapes, and is shaped by, their representations of the physical world. 

The Lehigh Little Learners Lab is directed by Alexis Smith-Flores and is based in Lehigh University’s Department of Psychology.
