Note from Catherine, Arrington:
"Dear Dave, As we come to the end of your journey through graduate school, I want you to know how proud I am of you. You have forged a path through our PhD program that is uniquely your own. Your interest in behavioral economics pulled the lab in new directions as you stretched our basic paradigms to find ways to ask your questions. When you hit roadblocks, you sought new techniques, looked to new fields, and learned the skills you needed to address your challenges. Then, you generously shared your knowledge with your fellow graduate students. In your dissertation, you stepped into the space between two literatures, carving out a piece of the intellectual landscape and making it your own. You have grown and developed as a scholar, and as a human, in ways that will serve you well in the years to come. It has been a delight to watch your progress. Thank you for sharing these years with us in the Psychology Department. Best of luck as you stride forward to take on new challenges and roles. Fondly, Kate
