Dissertation title
Understanding the Role of Morphology and Kinematics in Bio-Inspired Locomotion

Dissertation advisor: Keith Moored

Note to Keith Moored:
Keith Moored had been an inspiration and a friend as much as a mentor or an advisor during my Ph.D. I grew both professionally and personally under his guidance. He had created an environment that challenged me to be a better researcher while teaching to enjoy and be excited about my work, whatever happens. He stood by me through every challenge and helped me at every step. More importantly, he shaped me into the better leader, person and academician I am today. I will try to take the lessons that I have learned from him with me for the rest of my career.

Note from Keith Moored:
Fatma, It has been a joy to have you be a part of my research group. You helped strengthen the sense of community among your peers, you were always upbeat and optimistic, and you brought dedication and brilliant ideas to the group. Thank you for all of your hard work. I know that you are going to be highly successful in your next steps in both your career and life. Keep in touch and have fun! With warm regards, Keith
