Innova Schools are a network of private schools primarily in Lima, Peru, and its surrounding areas. Innova Schools originated due to the need of providing high quality education to Peruvian (and expanding to other Latin American) children whose families could not afford the existing elite private schools. Innova Schools provide high quality education to emerging middle-class children at an affordable cost of $130/month, with plans to soon develop programs at reduced cost for low-income families. The mission of Innova Schools is to provide Peruvian and other Latin American students with a world-class education that prepares them to engage with the complexity of today’s world and to live fulfilling and productive lives.
Without Innova Schools, the emerging middle-class families have no option beyond public schools or low-quality private schools that sadly do not support adequate academic achievement for students. According to PISA 2015 data, Peruvian students ranked 61st out of 72 countries. Recent data indicates that students in the Innova Schools are outperforming their counterparts in public and similarly-priced private schools. Thus, Innova Schools are an innovative and effective alternative to public schools for Peruvian children. Furthermore, the provision of an affordable and high-quality education to children of the emerging middle class represents an investment in the infrastructure and future of Peru.
