History

Overview:

The Outing Club formed on Lehigh’s campus in 1951. The unification of the Ski and Sportman clubs produced a greater outdoors club, which provided Lehigh students opportunities to hike, camp, hunt, fish, ski, toboggan, and more. The club had its ups and down throughout the years in terms of membership, and nearly ceased to exist in the mid 2010s. We are proud to have rebounded, and now affect hundreds of students a year with activities nearly every weekend of the fall and spring semesters.
