The advent of massive sensing and increased human participation in systems both as data providers and as decision makers, the impact and implications of security breaches ripple across time and are shared across participants. Our research studies information security in the context of such interactive systems from two perspectives: From a data privacy perspective, we investigate the challenges and benefits of information hiding wherein the value of information does not necessarily diminish over time. From a data integrity perspective, we investigate the ripple effects of false data injection in an interactive setup and understand both adversarial and system perspective to such attacks.
