National Workshop Series: Role of Industry-University Partnership in Doctoral Education

This workshop series brings together a set of high-level stakeholders in technological advancement from across industry, government, and academia. The objectives of this series are:

  • To develop a robust understanding of the current status of the pipeline from graduate degree programs in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) into professional research environments.
  • To promote innovation in industry-university partnership around doctoral education.
  • To introduce and solicit feedback on Lehigh University’s innovative Pasteur PhD Partners Fellowship pilot program.

Registration is now open! A one-time registration fee of $150* includes the launch session and all future events in this workshop series, including the in-person concluding event at the National Academy of Sciences building in Washington, D.C., planned for June 24-25, 2021.

We are pleased to share that grant support from the National Science Foundation will provide limited need-based travel grants for the summer 2021 event in Washington, D.C. These grants will be available to reimburse allowed travel expenses for academic participants from U.S.- based institutions. Additional details on how to apply for this funding will be available in 2021.
