About me

I am a first year PhD student at the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering Department at Lehigh University. My work, as a member of the Computational Biophysics research group led by Professor Jeetain Mittal, focuses on studying intracellular processes involving proteins using computer simulations and mathematical analysis.

Before joining Lehigh University as a PhD student I was working as a Project Assistant at the Center for Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences (CAOS) at the Indian Institute of Science Bangalore from 2017 to 2018. My work at CAOS involved creating simple models for understanding the Indian monsoon cycle using Model Order Reduction techniques.

I graduated from Birla Institute of Technology and Sciences (BITS) Pilani, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering in 2017. My undergraduate research focused on analytical modeling of thin film flows with Dr Rajagopal Vellingiri (BITS Pilani) and understanding the affect of anesthesia on neurons using computational models with Professor S. Pushpavanam at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras, India.

Apart from computational research, I am also interested in playing video games on my SNES Classic, slurping ramen, trying to play GOT soundtracks on a tin whistle and playing badminton till my arms ache.
