Susan A. Sherer, Ph.D.

Susan Sherer is Professor Emeritus of Information Systems, Department of Management, Lehigh University.  She was at Lehigh University since 1987 and was promoted to full professor in 2000.

Sherer’s research interests include health information systems, information systems risks and benefits, and inter-organizational information systems. She authored more than 70 articles in a variety of journals and proceedings as well as the book Software Failure Risk:  Measurement and Management, Plenum Publishing 1992.

She taught undergraduate e-business enterprise applications, systems analysis and design, business computing, introduction to business, and operations management as well as graduate e-business systems, managing the IS resource, strategic information systems, operations management, and quantitative methods.

Professor Sherer served as Chair, Department of Management from 2005-2011.
She was founder and Co-Director Center for Value Chain Research 2002-2006.
She was Kenan Professor 2002-2012, Scott Hartz Professor 2012-2014 and Fulbright Scholar 2005.
She was awarded the Lindback Award for Distinguished Teaching in 1998 and Beidelman Research Award in 2000.
