Welcome!

Hi everyone! Welcome to my blog! 😀 My name is Skyler Martinez and I am a Neuroscience and Behavior major (Health Medicine and Society minor) at Lehigh University. A few things about me is that I love music and singing, outdoor activities, learning about what makes our world so diverse and beautiful, and my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (shout out to my RUF family).

So why am I starting this blog? My intent is to allow you to join me in my journey as a student in Lehigh’s incredible Global Social Impact Fellowship (GSIF) where students of all backgrounds, concentrations, and gifts are given the opportunity to work together to create real, sustainable, and big impact for real and big global issues. I am proudly on the Ukweli Test Strips team for maternal and fetal health currently concentrated on the Bombali District in the beautiful Sierra Leone (West Africa).

Our three main goals, as my project and team adviser and GSIF leader, Vice Provost Khanjan Mehta, says:

IMPACT, IMPACT, and IMPACT!
