Public History

SSI is committed to oral, video and documentary history projects that explore the diverse experiences of people in our community, focusing especially on those whose voices are less commonly heard in the public sphere.  We are committed to developing strategies for activating these archives, for enabling these voices to circulate widely in our community – through public forums, media stories, documentary film projects, and educational programming.
