Project description:
My project analyzes the film technique of the "long take." Specifically, I look closely at a long take sequence portrayed in the Marvel superhero film Black Panther and analyze how this sequence aligns with Andre Bazin's theory of realism in filmmaking. This analysis is significant in understanding how viewers remain grounded in fantasy-based, action-packed narratives; by incorporating key aspects of realism through their form, modern films push the boundaries of one's imagination and cinematic construction.
