Fairchild-Martindale Library (FML) is consistently one of the most utilized spots on campus for so many reasons. With the plenty of computers, multiple floors to utilize, along with the delicious “Grind Cafe”, FML is at the top of places to study on Lehigh’s campus.

Through my experience during the pandemic, I was able to find positive aspects by reflecting on some of the discoveries I made in the midst of the challenges and drawbacks. I learned that by taking time away from my busy, hectic lifestyle, I was able to spend valuable time with family, rediscover my passions for art and music, and focus on creating a healthy and active lifestyle.
During the periods of isolation of the pandemic, I was able to grow through finding new hobbies and interests. I was also simply given more time to slow down and enjoy things like nature, reading, music and familial connection.
