Budget Cuts
Students of color are often concentrated in schools with fewer resources. Schools with 90 percent or more students of color spend $733 less per student per year than schools with 90 percent or more white students.
Budget cuts destroy public schools in low income neighborhoods. How can we convince our government officials to stop this?

As someone who went to an underfunded public school, I can understand this problem. I think a big contributing factor to the budget inequality is due to public schools getting most of their funding via property taxes. Property taxes are much less in urban areas which leads to an inequality. I think a good first step towards reducing the inequality would be changing the way public schools receive their funding.
