Welcome to the Equal Education forum!

The purpose of this site is to spark conversation amongst students. Too often social media outlets are flooded with memes or tabloid drama, and important dialogue is overshadowed. Education inequality has created an inexcusable gap in success rate between high income and low income students. Initiatives like Affirmative action, a policy practiced by college admissions teams across the nation, was intended to facilitate diversity and give equal opportunity in education for minorities. However, since its implementation, has Affirmative action caused more harm than good? What does a proper plan to combat education inequality look like? As a nation, we haven’t done enough to make sure that each and every student has an equal opportunity to succeed. It is our job to make sure it gets done, and it starts with acknowledging it exists. This is where it begins!
