I have always loved music. When I was younger I mostly listened to rock from the 60s and 70s. I still love this music. I have been introducing my daughter to kid-friendly classic rock like “Octopus’s Garden” by the Beatles, but I also like more esoteric classic rock.

After college I got more into anti-folk, rap rock, acid pop. The weird stuff. Here’s a great example of the kind of music I found myself drawn to.

My husband has an entirely different taste in music, but he has sung enough songs to my daughter that she picked up his musical tastes. He likes Irish traditional music and sea shanties. No seriously. He listens to pirate songs. This is one song he has always sung to Rose as a lullaby.
