Dr. Xing, professor of electrical engineering at University of Notre Dame, received her M.S. in material science from Lehigh University in 1998. Xing’s research and teaching interests are in the area of electronic materials and devices. Her research projects involve growth, fabrication and characterization of semiconductor electronic and optical materials and devices, primarily III-V nitride semiconductors and 2D crystals. She is the author or co-author of 125+ journal articles, 60+ conference papers and 200+ conference presentations, delivered 60+ invited talks and contributed three chapters in three books. In 2014, Dr. Xing won the Young Scientist Award at the International Symposium on Compound Semiconductors.
