Mentor comments:
Mentoring is a means to engage with a mentee and guide them in the direction they would like to travel. Even though it involves providing solutions to the mentee occasionally, I prefer to mentor by listening to their thought process, pose interesting and through-provoking questions, and provide information about various available choices. The most appealing part of mentoring to me is the fact that I can share my knowledge and experiences (both positive and negative) and empower the mentee to make an informed decision.
