Dr. Johnson is an incredible mentor. Her guidance has been invaluable to my progress as a graduate student. She truly seeks to lead by example, is always receptive to my feedback, and juggles many roles well. I admire her and greatly appreciate all that she does for me as her student.

Mentoring is an egalitarian relationship in which we learn and grow together and what one brings to the table is not valued over what the other brings. I strongly believe in the importance of teaching through doing and as such always have my students engaged with the community partners. I love being able to learn with my students!
