Comments from nominator:
Mohanad Khazaali: I know Dr. Bocchini from 2015, he was very supportive to me during my master degree and currently during my PhD program. However, I do not nominate him for only my personal perspective and because he is my advisor. Dr. Bocchini has a significant role in the civil engineering department at Lehigh and important characteristic of him is his passion to contribute to the academic growth of not just his mentees, but also his students and the larger Lehigh community. For example, Dr. Bocchini initiated and worked towards establishing an interdisciplinary certificate in Probabilistic Modeling across Engineering and Science which is directly accessible to all graduate students at Lehigh University. The graduates of this newly-established program have the opportunity to enhance their academic and professional prospects by giving them the opportunity to work interdisciplinary. Thanks to Dr. Bocchini's vision and sustained effort, Lehigh graduate students who are interested in this field now have one more tool to assist them professionally after graduation. It would benefit Lehigh's community to have more people like him, and excellence at his level should be nominated and awarded.

Xinyue Wang: It's my sheer luck to have Dr. Bocchini as my advisor. I admire his achievements in research and teaching. I am grateful for his being so thoughtful, understanding, responsive and supportive! Bethlehem is cold, but our group is always warm. Being a PhD is stressful, but working with him is always enjoyable.

Fahim Rustamy: My academic advisors have been great supporters throughout my graduate program's journey. I have been at Lehigh for about five years now, and I would not have been able to make it this far without their encouragement, supports, and motivations.

Mentor comments:
I love to guide young and smart researchers, see them blossom until the day when they are ready to continue their research without me.
