Lunch with seminar speaker – Dr. Halpern from UNH

It is our honor to have Dr. Jeffrey Halpern from University of New Hampshire as our seminar speaker this morning – and even a pleasure to have a lunch together!

Dr. Jeffrey Halpern gave a vivid talk on how their SEEDS (Surface Enhanced Electrochemical Diagnostic Sensors) laboratory is developing new sensor platforms for a range of applications including disease diagnosis and process analysis.

Aside from research, Dr. Halpern also shows his care on education research and shares his tips on daily academic communication with our grads students! (Dr. Halpern is recently awarded the Educator’s Award from LEAP for Education in 2019 and the Herb Epstein award for Technical Programing from AICHE in 2022)

Last but not the least: can you tell the difference between an apple and a pear without knowing their texture? OR can you tell the difference between Gala apple and Empire apple?

Check out the next seminar so you won’t miss any interesting, trendy research news!
