Ricardo Viera: Announcing My Retirement

Dear family, friends, and colleagues,

I would like to announce that by the end of December 2018, I will be retiring from the position of Professor of Art and Director/Chief Curator of the Lehigh University Art Galleries Teaching Museum.

I want to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for your kindness and cooperation throughout the years. It has been my distinct pleasure to serve in this capacity and be part of the Lehigh Valley arts community. You have helped me build the collection from a small grouping of 2,500 objects to the world-class collection of over 15,000 works of art.

It is also my pleasure to announce my replacement, Dr. William Crow, Educator in Charge at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. I know you will welcome him and help him continue building what I started 44 years ago.

More information on my retirement and Dr. William Crow’s hiring will be made available this afternoon on LUAG’s website and Lehigh University’s website.

Sincerely,

Ricardo Viera
