Visualize your partner network and explain how it works in simple words.

For each partner, explain

– Inputs: What they contribute/invest?

– How will you go about building the partnership?

 

Build our brand/entity – dedicated to reduce air pollution exposure and respiratory illness though reaching Almaty Citizens in Kazakhstan to use AirVision.

 

Phase Approach

Phase 0 – Our current state

  • Partnership with AlmaU
    • Inputs: What do they contribute/invest?
      • In-country access 
      • Networking opportunities
      • General knowledge about kazakhstan culture
    • Outputs: What they receive in return? Why should they partner with you?
      • Our AlmaU partners are credited for their efforts and the time they invest 
      • Since AlmaU is in kazakhstan, they will benefit from the advice that we formulate
    •  How will you continue to build the partnership?
      • By continuously communicating with our partners in AlmaU we can continue to strengthen our partnership.
  • Partnership with Airvision
    • Inputs: What do they contribute/invest?
      • Framework and code of our app
      • Resources and access to the people who will use the app 
    • Outputs: What they receive in return? Why should they partner with you?
      • Airvision will receive our survey results and our specific advice for each user group 
      • We will be formulating questions, videos, and facts that users can answer, watch, or read to earn redeemable points 
    •  How will you continue to build the partnership?
      • By continuously communicating with our partners in AirVision we can continue to strengthen our partnership. 
      • We can do additional research and provide them with useful information as to improve the app. 
      • Asking the AirVision team what we should focus our time and energy on would also strengthen our partnership.

Phase 1 – Marketing/Educating

Goals: Increase health awareness and reduce sickness by 50%, reach half of Almaty population who will be using the App

  • Partnership with K-12 schools (Kazakhstan International School)
    • Inputs: Teachers will invest their time in us by either promoting our app to their students or coordinating with us to present information on the app to the school either virtually or in person.
    • Outputs/Why should they partner with you?: The schools that participate will have a better understanding of what air pollution is, how it affects them and what to do to protect themselves. It will raise awareness and allow more people to use the AirVision app and follow advice.
    • How to build it: coordinate with Save Tuba to get in touch with the collection of schools they are in contact with or email schools that are not involved with them.
  • Partnership with more NGOs (Green Women)
    • Inputs: Green Women could provide us with platforms to share information like their scientific magazine “Terra-Zher Ana” or their information broadcast “Greenwomen-info”. 
    • Outputs/Why should they partner with you? If there is helpful information that this organization thinks would benefit the AirVision app we can propose that to AirVision to get their message across. They are also widening their network by partnering with us.
    • How to build it: We can email the organization at  greenwomen@nursat.kz or find them on social media. We will ask for a meeting to learn about what they do and see if they would be open to collaborating with us.
  • Partnership with World Meteorological Organization (WMO)
    • Inputs: We can gain credibility on the global scale and possibly implement new air pollution function ideas.
    • Outputs/Why should they partner with you?: We can act as a branch for improving air pollution in Kazakhstan on behalf of the World Meteorological Organization.
    • How to build it: We can reach out to Bill Hunter in the International Affairs Office because WMO is part of the UN and Bill’s connection can help us reach WMO. Then, we can email them on our own and schedule meetings with them.
  • Partnership with Kazakhstan Government (Education, Environmental Protection, Transportation)
    • Inputs: We will receive funds and gain credibility among Kazakhstan citizens, so more people will use our app.
    • Outputs/Why should they partner with you?: By collaborating with us, we can provide a certification that they are acting toward improving the environment and reducing air pollution exposure for their citizens. In addition, we will apply for funds for marketing and raise environmental awareness.
    • How to build it: Understand how to reach out to the Ministry of Education first by coordinating with Save Tuba and obtain their contact information. Then, we can move on to collaborating with the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Ministry of Transportation through this connection as well.
  • Digital Ventures Kz
    • Inputs: We could apply for funding and try to partner with this group on a film to spread information about what we are doing. 
    • Outputs: Our goal matches their mission to improve the environment and, by collaborating with us, can show that they are working to improve air pollution in Kazakhstan.
    • How to build it: We can obtain their contact information through their website and or ask if any of our partners have direct connections with Digital Ventures Kz.

 

Phase 2 – Occurs when we have reached a large enough group in Almaty

Goals: Expand to other polluted cities or another country with air pollution problems. Reach the higher population of the world and help them find ways to reduce their personal air pollution exposure.

  • Partnership with Bill and Melinda Gates foundation
    • Inputs: We can apply for funding for marketing which can help us reach a bigger market and most importantly minority group.
    • Outputs/Why should they partner with you?: We can act as a branch for the foundation to help minority populations and reduce their air pollution exposure.
    • How to build it: We can apply for funding on their website.
  • International Union of Air Pollution Prevention and Environmental Protection Association (IUAPPA)
    • Inputs: Collaboration with IUAPPA can provide new knowledge on air pollution around the world regarding climate and air pollution policies. We can implement these new ideas in a policy memo and propose initiatives to reduce air pollution.
    • Outputs/Why should they partner with you?: We can act as a partner or branch for the association to help reduce air pollution exposure in polluted locations.
    • How to build it: We can find their contact information on their website or ask if any of our partners have direct connections with them.
