Purpose
We believe in the value of nature.
Our relationships with nature begin through challenging activities like rock climbing, fishing, and hiking. These activities increase our confidence, willingness for vulnerability, and trust in our peers – dissolving our stores of built-up stress, anxiety, and depression.
Come for the activity. Stay for the people.

Sam Seymour, President When I’m not trying to figure out what’s happening with chemical engineering, you can probably find me at the rock wall. Backpacking is also pretty cool, but it’s really about the people 🙂 Defiantly come say hi sometime. sas721@lehigh.edu |

Natasha Hunt Hi hello! I grew up along the California coast so I’m your stereotypical paddle boarding, surfing human bean. I also quite enjoy falling rapidly on wooden boards down mountains covered with blankets of snow and wandering through lovely places with a very large backpack. Traveling is also an important part of my life and I’ve had the pleasure of going to forty five countries and eating so much lovely food that I wish I had the skills to make. 🙂 nkh222@lehigh.edu |
Daniil Abbruzzese Snowboarding, mountain biking, hiking, camping, rock climbing, occasionally surfing (poorly), exploring daa223@lehigh.edu |
Zach Herndon My hometown is Lebanon, NH. I love skiing, camping and rock climbing. My favorite thing to do on sunny days is to get outside in a hammock and vibe to some music bops. zah223@lehigh.edu |
Artemiza Martiinez My passion for rock climbing keeps me alive. Long hiking, a campfire under the stars, and a good dinner with your friends is an experience that all Lehigh’s students have to live !! aam419@lehigh.edu |
History
Founded in 1951, we are a relatively scrappy and young university outing club. In 2016, our leadership consisted of a single individual. Since then, thanks to the passion and commitment of people like Cam McKenna, we have grown into Lehigh University’s largest student-run club. We strive to provide identity to marginalized groups while providing an alternative social outlet for other communities. Increasingly, Lehigh’s administration is realizing and promoting the positive benefits of community development and health and wellness that is provided by having an active outing club on campus.
