K-12 Educational Outreach Efforts
- One week, an in-ocean course for high-school students on Wave Energy at Bermuda Institute of Ocean Science (BIOS). In collaboration with students and faculty in Lehigh’s Sustainable Development Program. Held at BIOS facility in Bermuda, June 2015.
- Museum exhibit on the benefits of deriving electricity from ocean waves for patrons of Da Vinci Science Center (DSC) in Allentown, PA. Exhibit installed 2017.
- Lehigh University Communications Internship and Development (LUCID) Workshop on Wireless Communications in Montrose, PA (2004). Designed to educate rural communities on the benefits of wireless communications. The audience ranged from high- school students and teachers to municipal leaders and local business owners.
Undergraduate Outreach Efforts
- Faculty Co-Advisor for Mountain Top Summer Project on Wave Energy Conversion, Summer 2015. Ten-week open-ended project in which an interdisciplinary team of six Lehigh students designed wave energy converter prototypes that can be used as educational tools.
