We will not provide the video conference links or materials passwords until payment is received.

Registration for the 2022 event is now closed.

 

This registration process covers both the Special Education Law Symposium and the Section 504 Coordinators Institute.

Enrollment is limited, and advance registration is required. Fees for all non-credit, and/or professional development include password protected online materials and session recordings. All checks for non-credit/professional development attendance are to be made payable to Lehigh University. Payment for those attending for graduate credit should make their payment through the Bursar’s office. Everyone registering for this symposium or Section 504 Institute MUST fill out the registration form.

Non-credit/Continuing Professional credit: $945 for the entire symposium or a per-day option of $250, includes course materials and session recordings. A stand alone registration for Sunday’s keynote is $65. A special Thursday/Friday two-day rate of $495 is available to school district Section 504 coordinators or others interested in the Section 504 Coordinators Institute. Non-credit participants may pay via credit card by filling out this registration form. Non-credit participants that wish to pay via check or purchase order should fill out this registration form and direct full payment to Shannon Weber, Lehigh University, 111 Research Drive, Iacocca B206, Bethlehem, Pa 18015. Credit: Tuition for the 3-credit graduate course is $1,770. Payment is made directly to the Bursar’s office at Lehigh University. The text/binder for the course is NOT included in the tuition; it must be purchased separately. Please contact specialedlaw@lehigh.edu or 610-758-5557 for details. Individuals seeking credit who are not enrolled at Lehigh must apply for non-degree status; fill out this application for non-degree status (once you’re on the webpage, click “Online Application”). We will provide an application fee waiver code. Please email specialedlaw@lehigh.edu to request this code. The exam for graduate credit participants: Wednesday, July 6 with alternate exam date to be determined, if needed. The exam will be online, open notes, and in a multiple-choice format. Multiple Registrant Discount: The first two registrants from an employer are full price, third and beyond a 30% discount off full price, eighth and beyond a 50% discount off full price. Please register using this link if three or more employees from your organization will be registering for the event. Each individual must complete the form. Please contact specialedlaw@lehigh.edu immediately after submitting the form so the appropriate discount can be applied to your invoice.

Ethical Challenges for the Special Education Attorney Session (attorneys only): Wednesday, June 22, 4:30-6:00 PM EDT. The cost is $20. See Highlights page for descriptor.

Refund Policy:

  • full refund (no cancellation fee) for cancellations until May 15
  • from May 16 to June 1: $75 cancellation charge
  • from June 2 until the symposium: no refund unless the symposium is cancelled

Professional development available:

  • Act 48: Pennsylvania Act 48 credits (up to 32.5 hours) are approved for the symposium and Section 504 Institute.
  • Act 45: Pennsylvania Act 45 credits are NOT available.
  • CLE credit (attorneys): Pennsylvania CLE credits are NOT available through the symposium. Iowa CLE credits (up to 30.5 hours), however, are available and honored by multiple states, including California, Connecticut, Florida, Maine, New Jersey, New York, and Wisconsin. Attorneys from other states should inquire in their home states as to whether the Iowa approval is honored, or whether the home state would grant CLE credit based upon the certificate of attendance. All CLE applications are the responsibility of the attorney registrant.
