Our UTI and preeclampsia strips test for 3 parameters, allowing for an easy interpretation of results so all health workers regardless of education can test and refer their community members.

  Testing parameters

     Our strips test 3 parameters: leukocytes, nitrites and proteinuria

  • High levels of white blood cells or leukocytes may indicate your body is fighting off an infection, showing a positive test reaction

  • Certain bacteria have an enzyme that converts nitrates into nitrites. The presence of nitrites may indicate harmful bacteria in the urinary tract

  • A common symptom of preeclampsia is protein in the urine

UTI AND PREECLAMPSIA USER GUIDE

Our test strip kit will contain a single strip, cup and a UTI and preeclampsia user guide. The patient will urinate in the cup, dip the strip into the cup and then wait for the color change. Our user guide is simple, allowing CHW’s to easily interpret results.
