    • Dear Laura, this message almost brought me to tears. We all won’t forget the time when you visited Hong Kong even before I came and the moment when you and Henry picked me up at the Newark Airport with beautiful roses!! I JUST had two pieces of luggage at that time. OMG…. where has the time gone??! No matter how many times I have said I wanted to finish, this journey does have an end….!! It’s just a very bittersweet moment. Thank you so much for allll of the help and support that you have given to me. These moments will always be in my heart wherever I go.

  7. Dear Angel,
I am honored to have been a boss, colleague, mentor, and lifelong friend on your journey. All the introductory speeches were meant for you! You persevered against all obstacles, and you succeeded every step of the way. Always remember that it began with that momentous job interview when you looked up when I entered the room and said, “Hi, Gary”. I knew immediately that you would think out of the box, be creative and envision the big picture. I am so very, very proud of you arriving at this major stepping stone and to be able to refer to you as you were meant to be – Dr. Angel Oi Yee Cheng. As said in one of the speeches “much has been given, much is expected.” You will give back in ways you cannot imagine. You will make immense contributions to international education. Just keep the faith. Keep persevering. Keep confronting every challenge and obstacle you will face. And know that now is just the beginning! I’m proud beyond measure! I know that Dr. Betty Chan, Professor Paul Yip Kwok-wah, Dr. Lydia Chan and all those in the Yew Chung and Yew Wah Education Foundation as well as the Baha’i community of Hong Kong would want me to wish you on their behalf: ! CONGRATULATIONS” . You have gone from local to global. Well done, Angel.

    • Dearest Gary, your messages always bring either laughter or tears or both together. This accomplishment cannot be done without your VERY FIRST and CONSTANT encouragement. Your company, guidance, and advice is indispensible and priceless during this meaningful journey. Again, as I always say: it’s more than words to show my deepest gratitude for having you as my supervisor, life mentor, and lifelong friend!! I FINALLY made it!!!!
