Welcome to SicklED!
We are a student-led team of Lehigh University Global Social Impact Fellows who are working to design a low-cost, point-of-care, sickle cell diagnostics device with the long term goal of implementing it in healthcare systems in low and middle income countries (LMICs). Starting in Sierra Leone, we hope to make actionable changes to decrease the staggering rate of child mortality in the Sub-Saharan region of the world.
Feel free to explore our page to keep up-to-date with our ongoing experimentation to optimize the device.
