Welcome to the Sickle Cell Anemia Screening Blog!

We are a combined team of Global Social Impact Fellows, Technical Entrepreneurship students, and undergraduate volunteers who are working to design a low-cost, easy-to-use, sickle cell anemia diagnostic device, with the long term goal of implementing it in Sierra Leone and eventually throughout other low and middle income countries.

Two of our students, Jannah and Maria, were recently in Sierra Leone in order to learn more about how the device could be used in the future. To follow along on their fieldwork, visit the “Sierra Leone 2019” page above!
