At the recent US Naval Academy Science and Engineering Conference (NASEC) 2023, which focused on the challenges and advancements in genetics, Norman Zvenyika, who was invited by the US Naval Academy, presented our research on the Sickle Cell Diagnostic Device. In a timely synergy, the Innovative Institute of Genomics (IGI) unveiled their pioneering CRISPR technology-based solution to cure Sickle Cell Disease within two weeks. Poised to embark on clinical trials in December 2023, IGI’s ambitious project promises a breakthrough in medical science. Their approach complements our diagnostic innovations, marking a monumental stride in the effective treatment and management of Sickle Cell Disease.
