In October 2022, the SicklED team attended the UN ‘Why It Matters’ conference as our paper was accepted in conference proceedings. The paper, “Reducing Child Mortality in Sierra Leone with Sustainable Diagnostic Device for Sickle Cell Disease” is now awaiting evaluation for official publication. The aim of the paper is to help the UN develop an agenda by 2030 to achieve their sustainable development goals.
