Help ZMCC Get a Microscope

“Malaria is a disease caused by a plasmodium parasite transmitted through the bite of a mosquito. A microscope would allow staff at Zion Medical Community Clinic to properly diagnose malaria and therefore provide proper interventions for the community. Uganda has one of the highest rates of malaria in the world due to lack of supplies and poor infrastructure, including diagnostic testing. The ZMCC sees over 500 patients per month, and the number of patients coming to the clinic has been increasing, especially as health resources become more strained and difficult to access with COVID concerns and lockdowns.”
