This week’s Wednesday Website for May 5th, 2021 was shared by Michaela Ott, who shared out about Kami. Kami is a Google Chrome extension that can be easily added to your student’s desktop or laptop to edit or work off of PDFs, images, workbooks, etc. to draw, add text, images, or other creative elements for seamless virtual instruction.

3/3/21 Wednesday Website: Blooket

This week’s Wednesday Website for March 3rd, 2021 was shared by Jenna Figliano, who shared out about Blooket. Blooket is an educational game website where students can compete with each other by answering questions based on teacher-created Blooket decks. The Blooket decks can be created from scratch or choose from several pre-created decks from other educators! After the game is finished Blooket even provides educators with a score summary with ability to see student’s scores and which questions were answers correctly/incorrectly.

  • Hundreds of pre-created decks!
  • Choose from any subject!
  • Choose from the different games that Blooket has created to assess student knowledge
  • Assign Blookets for homework
  • Fun and exciting for students of all ages!
  • Turn off/on student names for the game

2/10/21 Wednesday Website: Kidblog

This week’s Wednesday’s Website for February 10th, 2021 was shared by Brian James, who shared out about Kidblog. Kidblog is a website where students can safely publish their writing. Teachers can monitor all activity and peers can leave insightful comments on each other’s work. Students can also creat their own digital portfolios to be shared with the class or curated over time.

A few other features:

  • Can be used for grade K-12
  • Students can write journals on this website.
  • Students can have their own “blog” without creating their own URL.
  • Real-time feedback with students
  • Teachers can monitor students in real-time.
  • Students can give peer feedback on the website to one another.
  • Google Suite capability
  • Lesson plan ideas for educators.
