Creative Assets

Creative assets are any type of media that can be used to help you promote your project.

  • Photographs: Use engaging photographs that may be interesting to share with your audience.  Be mindful of sizing and appropriate cropping.
  • Video: Consider assigning someone within your team to shoot video where appropriate and collect the footage for use throughout your campaign.  Make sure you have adequate lighting and sound quality.

Use your phone; video will look natural and not over-produced.

Orientation; if you are splicing video clips together, make sure to hold your phone the same way (and don’t rotate while recording).

Length; keeping your audience’s attention is key, so be sure to watch the video length to keep it from being too long.  For social media posts (i.e. Instagram) 1 minute is the ideal time. You are not limited to creating and sharing only 1 video; sharing a video update each week or just creating videos with different content will keep donors and target audiences engaged and up to date on your project progress.
